Moscow Mule Cocktail has and remains very popular so I wanted to add my review on Reed’s Extra Ginger Brew, a staple ingredient in the Moscow Mule.
Moscow Mule Cocktail Recipe
1-1/2 ounces vodka
Cold Ginger Beer
Garnish Lime Wedge
Pour the vodka into a copper mug filled with ice, squeeze lime into mug. Fill with Ginger Beer.
Reed’s Extra Ginger Brew is the same recipe as Original Ginger Brew, but has 26 grams (instead of 17 grams) of fresh ginger root for a stronger taste. The other ingredients are the same lemon, lime, honey, cane sugar, pineapple, herbs and spices.

Here is the story of Chris Reed who founded Reed’s Ginger Brew. He first decided to create a ginger ale made with fresh ginger in 1987, he went to UCLA library, pre internet, to research into the early formulas for soft drinks. He figured if he went back far enough in time he would find recipes that worked with real ingredients. Then he found a book from the 1780’s, before the first bottling plants even existed, that talked about brewing sodas from whole roots, spices and fruit juices in the kitchen. Chris knew he had found what he was looking for. These early soft drinks, besides being delicious, were also used as herbal tonics. After two years of much trial and error, Reed’s Original Ginger Brew was ready to launch.
Reed’s brews are a delicious revival of the lost brewing art of brewing sodas. Each small batch is hand crafted with pride, carefully brewed and aged by expert brew masters. It is so easy, I want to keep it short and simple just like making this coffee every morning, follow this recipe.
First boil 1 cup or 8 oz. of filtered water, add 2 1/2 heaping tablespoons freshly ground Bulletproof coffee and brew as you would any other day. Add 1 teaspoon Bulletproof Upgraded Brain Octane and 1 tablespoon grass-fed, unsalted butter. Put it all in a blender and blend for 30 seconds or until the oil and butter emulsified, the coffee will look frothy like a latte.
I drank the first one quick, and felt great all day. Now I sip and savor it as I crave it, and will not go without it. Amazing how it will take your energy to a whole new level. I look forward to my Bulletproof Coffee each and every day.
A great way to detox and cleanse your body is to do a juice fasting, or juice cleansing.
