Montana Moonshine Willie's Distillery

Montana Moonshine Review

Montana Moonshine is made with four grains and gently distilled to bring out the full flavor. It is what whiskey looks and tastes like before it goes into a barrel. Smooth, sweet and strong, Montana Moonshine is the perfect mixer. Use it like a vodka or a whiskey and you can’t go wrong.

They use a copper pot still made just for them by Bavarian Holstein Stills from Germany. They wanted to make whiskies and brandies, and a few specialty spirits, so they sought out one of the finest small batch stills in the world. The custom still is handcrafted out of copper, and hand-hammered to create more surface area to react with our spirits vapors. Since they specialize in whiskey which has a lot of flavor to it, copper was an important element to the design, as it reacts with unpleasant tasting compounds, allowing the better flavor to shine through.

The Montana Moonshine pin-up illustration is of MaryAnne. She loves to fish remote mountain streams during the full moon. Like our Montana Moonshine, she is independent and easy-going.

As an organic Mezcal, El Silencio’s production does not involve any additives or industrial processes. The result is a craft spirit of the highest quality with an infinite range of flavors, dimensions, and character.

The harvest takes place when the plant is fully matured, at about eight to twelve years. After removing the leaves (or paddles) with a machete only the pineapple shaped heart remains.

Cooking the pineapple is then chopped to pieces and cooked in a stone pit anchored into the ground. The cooking duration is three to five full days.

The Tahona Grind is when shrapnel remains are split again and put to a grinding stone (Tahona), which is pulled by a horse or mule.

Fermentation, after the grind, the resulting mash (bagaso) is poured into large wooden vats. Natural spring water is added. The mixture now becomes “mosto” which begins to generate its own alcohol.

Copper Distillation, the mosto is then double distilled in copper stills (alambiques) where the alcohol is vaporized and transformed into Mezcal.

Azunia Anejo Tequila

AZUÑIA AÑEJO TEQUILA REVIEW

AZUÑIA AÑEJO TEQUILA, is a ultra-premium sipping tequila that is aged no less than 12 months in American Oak barrels. Very smooth with a buttery finish of vanilla, chocolate and a nose full of fruit and caramel. A perfect tequila to enjoy straight or mixed in your favorite cocktail.

Quick Overview
100% Weber Blue Agave
Clay Hornos – 36 Hours
2 Times Distilled
Aged in American Oak Barrels – 12 Months Min
Craft Competition Gold Medal Winner 2013

Azuñia Tequila starts with only perfectly aged Weber Blue Agave, which grows harmoniously for 8 to 10 years in sun-drenched fields surrounding the small town of Amatitan. Each agave plant receives naturally produced rich nutrients from the fertile volcanic earth and a regime of seasonal weather.

While many producers source their agave from a variety of other growers, their agave is from acres owned and maintained by Sergio Zuñiga. This quality control produces consistency and full ripe flavors. Also allowing the agave plants to grow to the perfect peak of ripeness, between 8 to 10 years, or until the sugars are at the optimal level. The fields and rows are marked with the date each row of agave was planted. Expert Jimadors carefully hand-select the agave plants that are ready to be harvested, using a razor sharp tool called the coa, to cut the spiky leaves away from the precious core, the piña.

After each agave is harvested and split by hand, the prized piña is loaded onto a truck and transported to the distillery, where the process begins. The first step is cooking the piñas. For Azuñia Añejo they use the traditional clay ovens, called hornos, to steam the piñas, slow roasting each batch for up to 36 hours. The cooked piñas are then crushed in the pressing mills in order to extract the agave juice. Since the agave fibers may reabsorb much of the juice, the fibers are rinsed in order to obtain the optimal amount of juice from each press. The result of the wash is called aguamiel or honey water.

Other tequilas use commercial yeasts to speed up fermentation. Azuñia uses natural fermentation, which produces yeast naturally during the process. Azuñia tequilas ferment for 5 to 7 days, depending upon outside temperature and humidity—part of the natural fermentation process. Although it takes longer to ferment, only naturally produced yeast is in the tequila. This traditional method helps create the distinct flavor of Azuñia Tequila.

After the natural fermentation process, Azuñia Tequila is double distilled for purity. During the second distillation process, they separate the heads and tails of the juice, leaving only pure, clear tequila. Unlike others, Azuñia Tequila is then filtered one more time through our unique process in order to achieve its smooth, luxurious flavor.

After the fermentation, double distillation and final filtration, they achieve the perfect unaged tequila, which we call Platinum which is put into barrels for a minimum of 12 months creating Azuñia Añejo.

AnestasiA Vodka An Award Winning Spirit

AnestasiA Vodka Review

AnestasiA Vodka is and award winning spirit, it’s the essence of two all-natural, all-American ingredients. First is the sweet corn sourced from northwestern farms, and second is the exceptionally pure water of the Cascade Mountains. The waters of this range flow through riverbeds of lava rock, and thereby avoid picking the sediment—metallic salts such as magnesium and calcium—present in most water sources. In fact, our waters contain 90% less of these compounds than your average drinking water. This makes our water remarkably ‘soft’, and results in Anestasia vodka’s naturally derived purity.

Once harvested, our corn grains are mixed with fermenting sugars and yeast—then distilled five times. This distillate is then blended down with our uniquely pure water before being filtered a further five times through crushed lava rock, neutral charcoal, and Arkansas-derived quartz crystal. This filtration process removes any remaining impurities, often including the congeners which can cause hangovers. The final result is fresh, easy-to-drink vodka that is both lightly weighted and very smooth.

Our whole process, from the grains we use to the naturally purified water, is an embodiment of the American artisan experience. This vodka serves as an homage to a longstanding American tradition—the domestic creation of handcrafted quality—as well as a beacon for a new generation of innovative American luxury.

AnestasiA Vodka was created to demonstrate that luxury spirits can be crafted in the United States. In 2007, founder Yuliya Mamontova started with the singular goal of producing the best vodka possible. Growing up in a European family of vodka producers, Yuliya learned firsthand the distillation, fermentation, and packaging expertise passed from generation to generation. In homage to her family’s traditions, AnestasiA is produced in small batches by skilled artisans using select all natural ingredients. We believe in domestic craftsmanship and ingenuity.

Our process begins in Bend, Oregon, handcrafted on a 24-acre farm. Knowing how important water is to the vodka distillation process and ultimately to the taste of a finished product, as vodka is 60% water, we chose to produce our vodka in the Northwest. Their water sources are consistently clean, and those that flow from Bend’s Cascade Mountains, exceptionally pure. The unusually low concentration of calcium carbonate in the region’s water supply ensures our vodka has a smooth, silk-like finish, and can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Our vodka purity embodies the pristine wilderness that surrounds our distillery.

We are a family-owned and family-operated business. Our commitment to superior taste, domestic production, and modern sustainability remains unwavering as we continue to focus our efforts on the quality of our product and work to rekindle the American spirit of producing luxury goods domestically.

Sony Walkman ZX2

Sony Walkman ZX2 is it worth $1,200?

Sony Walkman ZX2 as music has been and will always be a big part of peoples life, consumers will spend what it takes to get real studio sound. If we can’t hear it live or in the recording studio, consumers search for the next best solution, and as technology evolves we get a more compact, easy to operate, clearer product and yes the Sony (SNE) Walkman is worth the money.

Super-high resolution music brings a more live sound than a CD, MP3 or Streaming Media as it is not a compressed file. Sony ZX2 Walkman has audio technology that will reproduce master quality recordings, making non-high-resolution music files sound better. The sounds you hear are not just more but lifelike or like being at a live concert you will hear things in a song you could not hear before.

Sony ZX2 Walkman has 128 GB of storage which will hold almost 2,000 songs. The music files are larger yet another option is the micro SD card slot for more storage. The battery will last sixty hours and it is Wi-Fi capable.

Sony’s ZX2 Walkman is something completely new and will not remind you of your first Walkman, portable cassette/CD player, close your eyes and listen to the next best thing to being at the live event.

Bulletproof Coffee

How To Make Bulletproof Coffee

How to make Bulletproof Coffee

It is so easy, I want to keep it short and simple just like making this coffee every morning, follow this recipe.

First boil 1 cup or 8 oz. of filtered water, add 2 1/2 heaping tablespoons freshly ground Bulletproof coffee and brew as you would any other day. Add 1 teaspoon Bulletproof Upgraded Brain Octane and 1 tablespoon grass-fed, unsalted butter. Put it all in a blender and blend for 30 seconds or until the oil and butter emulsified, the coffee will look frothy like a latte.

I drank the first one quick, and felt great all day. Now I sip and savor it as I crave it, and will not go without it. Amazing how it will take your energy to a whole new level. I look forward to my Bulletproof Coffee each and every day.

Rum Chata

RumChata Review

RumChata is made with premium Rum & Horchata. Horchata was originally concocted by the ancient Egyptians for the Pharaohs, a feat easily as impressive as the Pyramids. The pioneering Egyptian chufa style horchata, which is made with chufa—also known as the tigernut—was so revered that it soon found its way to Spain during the time of the Moorish kings.
Today, you’ll continue to find horchata made with this same original recipe in most areas of Spain, where it remains a very popular summertime beverage—we’re talking Antonio Banderas popular. Chufa plantations aren’t exactly a booming business on this side of the pond, so when horchata was finally introduced to the Americas the recipe had to be changed. Rice based horchata is now served extensively throughout Mexico and Central America, where the recipe is often passed down generation to generation. These authentic recipes include varied mixtures of rice, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and either water or dairy.
What is more delicious than horchata is horchata with rum in it, RumChata. Get your next party started with a bottle of RumChata, and serve it on the rocks or try out some of these great RumChata recipes!
