Ben & Jerry’s cofounder Ben Cohen made a small batch of ice cream in honor of presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders. Bernie’s Yearning is a mint flavored ice cream with giant chocolate chips somehow is representing the top 1% that has got all the wealth in the last 10 years. The brand is actually Ben’s Best so it will not have the Ben & Jerry’s logo. Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc. has nothing to do with this totally volunteered venture from Ben. Ben & Jerry’s is based in Vermont and in the past has been outspoken yet this is a small but clear way of saying they hope Bernie Sanders a Vermont Senator since 2007 is elected as our next president. If this does not prove it maybe past donations from both Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield to Bernie Sanders campaign, will. Bernie Sanders definitely has the younger voter on it’s side and this is one more way of getting the younger voter interested in Bernie Sanders.
This wine was a bit lighter than the bold blackberry and plumb taste that is evident, it is light on tannins and has a nice acidity very well balanced with a nice long finish, and I highly recommend it for any night of the week.

This wine would go well with rich cheese dishes to a simple pizza or something from the grill, I once again do recommend the 2014 Barbera from Urbano Cellars.
