It’s Sunday and your in Santa Monica, you want something fun yet healthy to do, head over to the Santa Monica Farmers Market. Like most farmer’s markets you will find fresh produce, prepared foods, live entertainment and activities for the kids. What makes this one unique, it is right in Santa Monica, you can do some shopping or lunch after while your in town. Each week you will get to know the community as most locals will be there each and every Sunday. Also you are always going to meet someone new or see new items, seasonal fresh produce and holiday gifts.
I was at a friends house right on the beach drinking wine and eating lunch, as I went to take my plate into the kitchen I noticed Barefoot Pinot Noir bottle. She told me we were drinking Pinot Noir yet never mentioned the brand. I am no wine snob but I do pay a bit extra when I purchase pino’s. A quick review, it was smooth as I have already stated, smooth with a bit of spice, dark cherry, berry but more wild raspberry, a lot of fruit up front and a light earthy flavor. We were eating vegetable lasagna, yet I would pair the taste of this wine with just about any lunch I had this week. Another great thing about Barefoot Pinot Noir is the price at just over $6 it tastes like it could be $12. Barefoot, Wine, Beach.
Get Barefoot, Wine and have a great time, with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine, highly recommended to me. So I had to give it a try, and what do I think, Fun Wine! We were barbecuing and there was a little of everything to eat and drink, we opened a bottle of Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and it was a hit.
I looked it up, on their site they recommend it chilled, chill out wine! Tastes, rip, explosive flavors of raspberry, pomegranate and luscious cherry. Time to uncork, summer, summer, summertime, right about that, it is sweet, light and fruity perfect for summer. Barefoot recommends pairing Barefoot Sweet Red Wine with grilled veggies, marinated steaks and BBQ.
Price – $6.99 – 750mL Bottle, it is sweet, but it also says clearly on the label Sweet Red Wine. I don’t usually drink sweet but I did like it, I usually recommend wine with food, yet you can drink this straight. Also we did try making a Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Wine Cooler (s) (tall Collins glass with ice, fill half way with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and the other half with 7-Up, garnish with a cherry). We also made Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Wine Spritzer (s) (tall Collins glass with ice, fill half way with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and the other half with club soda, garnish with a lemon twist). Super refreshing and a whole lot of fun, for the price you can’t beat it!
