Santoyo Grand Leyenda Añejo Tequila Review

Santoyo Grand Leyenda Añejo Tequila is a great sipping tequila yet I was tempted to make a margarita and it was one of the best ever.

The Family Añejo embodies the full expression of the Santoyo values, traditions, and centuries of heritage, which have gone into the making of this tequila. Prepared only in small batches with the utmost care this tequila is aged for at least 2 years, achieving the classification of “Añejo.” It’s deep copper hues enthrall the eye, while the nose is pleasured by notes of caramel, almond and vanilla. On the palette, you find mild citrus opening notes leading in to butterscotch caramel and vanilla finishing. So smooth, sweet and it is organic. If you like these tasting notes visit Tequila of the Month each month as new tequila is featured.

View Tainer The Perfect Container

VIEWTAINER, it truly is the perfect container.

You can see into it, so no more wondering what you put in there. Use one hand, squeeze it and the top opens to put items inside, or squeeze it to empty contents. I am addicted to VIEWTAINER, I use VIEWTAINER to organize things at work, in my garage, all over the house and I use one for change in my car. There are thousands of uses for VIEWTAINER and it’s made in the U.S.A. Finally, I am organized!

Sizes and colors, I would love to list them but there are too many to list, plus they have specialty sizes so this blog would be too long, go to their website www.viewtainer.com to see more.

Finally The Perfect Container!

StoreVino Wine Rack Review

I have/drink a lot of wine, not a day goes by that I don’t buy a bottle, receive bottle or take a bottle to a dinner or party. STOREVINO Nero is my new best friend. This simple solution, keeps all my wine organized in one place and I can add to it as my wine collection grows.

STORVINO Nero was described to me as legos for adults. A wine storage solution that can be put anywhere, under your kitchen counter, in a closet, garage or stacked in a room. Each plastic crate holds six bottles, it can be put upright for transferring bottles or on it’s side and stacked. You can stack them 10 high and as wide as you want. To stabilize each one is connected to another using a wine cork (photo below). Made in the USA using 100% recycled material. The size 10.25” H x 11.75” W x 8” D and weights 2.6 lbs. and the cost is around $20 each. For transporting wine the handles on either side make it easy.

The STOREVINO Nero modular system is so clever I keep asking myself why didn’t I think of that!

4th Of July Freedom

My favorite holiday is the 4th Of July. Freedom to do what ever you want, it’s a federal holiday so most people don’t have to work! It’s a nice long day, I wake up early just out of habit, eat a good breakfast and head out side and put up the flag. It’s a super positive day more than likely because everyone is very active. I am one who has to be on the water every 4th, the beach, a lake or by the pool as long as there is water. For lunch/dinner the food is usually cooked outdoors, some sort of BBQ, something from the garden and always more watermelon than you can eat. After a long day as the sun starts to go down everyone is looking nice and tan. And here is why I love this holiday, as you may want to wind down, the day is only getting ramped up! As you head back outside to see the fireworks you get your second wind, the night is young and the party is about to get started!

Remember the significance of the 4th of July. It’s Independence Day, the adoption of the Declaration of Independence (July 4th, 1776), declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain, now known as the United Kingdom. It is our country’s birthday so time to celebrate and enjoy the freedom to live the way we want. Especially today make sure you take advantage of your freedom and do at least one thing just for you!

Happy 4th Of July!!!

Barefoot Sweet Red Wine

Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Review

Get Barefoot, Wine and have a great time, with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine, highly recommended to me. So I had to give it a try, and what do I think, Fun Wine! We were barbecuing and there was a little of everything to eat and drink, we opened a bottle of Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and it was a hit.

I looked it up, on their site they recommend it chilled, chill out wine! Tastes, rip, explosive flavors of raspberry, pomegranate and luscious cherry. Time to uncork, summer, summer, summertime, right about that, it is sweet, light and fruity perfect for summer. Barefoot recommends pairing Barefoot Sweet Red Wine with grilled veggies, marinated steaks and BBQ.

Price – $6.99 – 750mL Bottle, it is sweet, but it also says clearly on the label Sweet Red Wine. I don’t usually drink sweet but I did like it, I usually recommend wine with food, yet you can drink this straight. Also we did try making a Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Wine Cooler (s) (tall Collins glass with ice, fill half way with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and the other half with 7-Up, garnish with a cherry). We also made Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Wine Spritzer (s) (tall Collins glass with ice, fill half way with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and the other half with club soda, garnish with a lemon twist). Super refreshing and a whole lot of fun, for the price you can’t beat it!

SEX WAX REVIEW

What wax do you use? “Sexwax of coarse”. I used Sexwax as a little kid (grom), now it’s “retro”, it works/does it’s job, and it’s the “go to” choice for pros/experienced surfers. Another plus, they started using an Eco box now packaging is now recyclable. Recyclable package is made of 100% recycled fibers with environmentally friendly, low V.O.C. inks. This new package is easy to open and can be reused to keep your partially used wax clean in its original package. I love that they put on the side “Please don’t litter”.

The Sexwax I am featuring is the;
GREEN LABEL
3X (XXX) Rated Soft (1X softest stickiest – 6X hardest least sticky)
REVISED RANGE
COOL TO MID WARM
58°F to 74°F
14°C to 23°C
Made in the U.S.A.

Non-Toxic – You can chew it! Not a food item, yet all ingredients are designated as food additives by the FDA.

It is a softer wax some of the benefits are, stickier and easier to apply, it will move or rub away in spots where you put a lot of pressure and use. I am happy with the stickiness and stability underfoot.

Sexwax Green Label is my go to wax, as they say it is, “The Best For Your Stick”.

Sticky Bumps Review

I use Sticky Bumps Surf Wax because I like the smell. This is not a surf wax review I just wanted to write in why I use Sticky Bumps, it works well, goes on easy, and it smells really good. All winter I have been using Sticky Bumps Cool Surf Wax and loving it.
Some Facts about Sticky Bumps, Cool Surfboard Wax is for use in water 58º- 68º F (14º-19ºC). Sticky Bumps Surf Wax is an all-natural non-toxic wax. Eco Friendly, Sticky Bumps was the first surf wax to stop using paraffin-based waxes. Sticky Bumps is long lasting and easy to apply formula. Rub it on nose to tail, rail to rail. The wax weight is over 85 grams. Sticky Bumps surf wax has been around since 1972.
I personally over wax my boards, so I use a lot of wax, and it lasts and sticks good. It is also a surf wax that lasts a while you don’t have to constantly reapply, I use the same wax, as it just stays put, no need to mess with it. Long lasting and easy to apply what more could you want.

Price is $2.00 – $3.00, worth every cent/sent!

Screaming Eagle 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Average $2,500 ($1,900 to $7,495)

Opening up a bottle of Screaming Eagle 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is always a great night. The ratings are always consistently high yet if I were rating this wine tonight it would be 100%, my research shows drink within the next 10 years, why wait. Tasting notes from everyone tonight, delicious, amazingly complex and purely textured, this wine is structured perfectly with silky tannin, spice, fruit, bright, hints of smoke, licorice, perfectly balanced, finesse, refined, intense, full bodied and very approachable. Outstanding with the main course, steak and garden vegetables, a perfect pairing at an outdoor setting area next to the fire.

Facts- There was only 800, 12-bottle cases made.

Vintage – 2004
Producer – Screaming Eagle
Varietal – Cabernet Sauvignon

Sub Region – Napa Valley
Appellation – Oakville
Country – USA

Nose – Sweet cassis aromas, black raspberry, ripe cherry, mocha, smoke, some licorice, vanilla, cassis and hint of camphor.
Notes – Balanced, pure, beautifully textured, opulent, and forward.

Over all vintages this was the 50th most popular wine on Wine-Searcher last year, search rank last month was 33rd. The Wine-Searcher score of 94/100 is calculated from the following wine critic scores:
Cellar Tracker – 95/100

Screaming Eagle, the most asked question is always about taste, quality, price, and do they all measure up? I have a one word answer, “perfection”.

Beats by Dr. Dre Review

Small but Loud, Do You Know, Destroy Bad Sound Respect The Music, Just What the Doctor Ordered, Right, Fierce… the advertisements are everywhere, this small, sexy, portable speaker is packed with sound quality and is a must have for everyone.

Small Size, Big Sound. The compact size is a bit deceiving your neighbors will hear it, if you are rockin in the back yard. Beats Pill is said to produce powerful sound, soaring highs and deep, booming bass. I think because it’s portable, you can have your music close by and you don’t need it so loud.

Portable, the Beats Pill got me on portability. It is lightweight design is small enough to go anywhere, the small travel case makes it easy to pack. The charge lasts a long time, I have listened to music for over seven hours, and it take a short time to recharge. If your phone is low on battery power, plug it in on the bottom to charge. The Beats Pill has Bluetooth capability an internal microphone, you can conference call, the mic input is just below the sync button.

Pairing the Beats Pill is easy, I have had so much trouble in the past with other Bluetooth speakers. It’s easy, tap your phone to your Beats Pill and you create an instant connection or hold down the Beats Pill logo for three seconds and it will pair with your devise. Sync two Beats Pills by tapping them together to play the same song on both. If you tap the Beats Pills together twice you get your music in stereo, one Beats Pill will be left output and the other will be right output. You can change tracks and adjust volume on whatever you sync, from up to thirty feet away.

Accessories, there are a bunch a few of the more popular ones are, Beats Pill Character, Beats Pill Sleeve and the Beats Pill Bike Mount.

Photos will display front, Beats Pill button that will light up in red when you power it on and the four speakers. Back, line out, line in, Bluetooth indicator, power button, micro USB port and NFC (Near Field Communications) button and volume up/down buttons. Bottom, USB phone charger.

I highly recommend it!

Healthy Eating At McDonald’s Review

I had a very early breakfast and was ready for lunch, I walked in to a McDonald’s in Santa Monica, CA and had such a great experience. I wanted to eat healthy so I ordered a southwest salad, it was 10:35am so they still had their breakfast menu up, salad/lunch menu starts at 11am. The very nice girl working the counter said no problem and another outgoing employee went to get the salad, as she wanted to help out. Five star service at McDonald’s, they both went out of their way to make me happy and were successful.

McDonald’s Southwest Salad, is under $5, I was thirsty so I ordered a Dasani Water $1, what a deal.

What’s in a Southwest Salad from McDonald’s? Tossed greens and three cups of veggies. To be more specific, iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, roasted corn, roasted tomatoes, poblano peppers, black beans, thinly sliced carrots, cilantro topped with cheddar and jack cheese, lime wedge and chili-lime tortilla strips (I ordered it without the tortilla strips). It came with Newman’s Own Balsamic Vinaigrette, I forgot to put it on, it was super tasty without it.

On you smart phone you can access McDonald’s nutrition chart where you can customize it to see how many calories are in what you are eating and so much more. Below are the results for the McDonald’s Southwest Salad, without chili-lime tortilla strips and Newman’s Own Balsamic Vinaigrette.
