About Muchote Tequila
Muchote Reposado Premium Tequila, is made by Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados, in Los Altos, Arandas, Jalisco, Mexico. The Vivanco family have been agaveros, growing agave for five generations. The Vivanco 800 acre Los Altos farms are known for rich red clay soil that produce a softer/sweeter tequila. Muchote Reposado Tequila is a single estate tequila, made from 100% Weber Blue tequilana agave. The agave piñas are harvested and placed in brick adobe ovens (hornitos) where they are steamed for 24 hours then left to cool for 24 hours. Double distilled for smoothness, fresh agave flavor yet keeping the natural spice. Our traditional, handcrafted and careful process ensures a natural, smooth, and savory tequila. Muchote Tequila is a hand crafted small batch artisan tequila. Muchote Reposado Tequila is aged in American white oak seasoned whiskey barrels for seven months.

Barefoot Sweet Red Wine

Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Review

Get Barefoot, Wine and have a great time, with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine, highly recommended to me. So I had to give it a try, and what do I think, Fun Wine! We were barbecuing and there was a little of everything to eat and drink, we opened a bottle of Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and it was a hit.

I looked it up, on their site they recommend it chilled, chill out wine! Tastes, rip, explosive flavors of raspberry, pomegranate and luscious cherry. Time to uncork, summer, summer, summertime, right about that, it is sweet, light and fruity perfect for summer. Barefoot recommends pairing Barefoot Sweet Red Wine with grilled veggies, marinated steaks and BBQ.

Price – $6.99 – 750mL Bottle, it is sweet, but it also says clearly on the label Sweet Red Wine. I don’t usually drink sweet but I did like it, I usually recommend wine with food, yet you can drink this straight. Also we did try making a Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Wine Cooler (s) (tall Collins glass with ice, fill half way with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and the other half with 7-Up, garnish with a cherry). We also made Barefoot Sweet Red Wine Wine Spritzer (s) (tall Collins glass with ice, fill half way with Barefoot Sweet Red Wine and the other half with club soda, garnish with a lemon twist). Super refreshing and a whole lot of fun, for the price you can’t beat it!

SUP, What Should I Buy and Why?

Stand Up Paddleboarding is the fastest growing sport, and finally the competition between producers has leveled the inflated price to an affordable one. Stand Up Paddleboard or SUP for short, is a ton of fun and a great core workout. As consumers test the waters getting into the sport of SUP, I must give some helpful advice. Buy a quality board and a quality paddle from someone who not only makes boards, who also is on the water paddling, using the product he’s selling every day of the year. My dad always said “don’t give advice if you don’t do it, and when you make a purchase buy from someone who uses the product they are selling.”

Ever surf Zuma Beach? Vacationers or locals, when your in California head to Malibu and hook up with Tony “Radfish” Stearns. He is not only the maker of Radfish Stand Up Paddle Boards some of the best/lightest SUP boards made, he is one of the best SUP riders in the industry. If you want to see for yourself take a look at his YouTube channel #radfishmalibu and subscribe. You can take SUP lessons, purchase a SUP or upgrade your SUP to one of his carbon fiber/Kevlar custom shaped boards and carbon fiber paddles.

I’m the guy who always wanted a SUP yet it always seemed too expensive. I called Tony Radfish and started out with a few private lessons, it was everything I had imagined and more, awesome! Radfish is right on Zuma Beach in Malibu, one minute after you park your on a Radfish SUP in the water. Tony Radfish is a well known local he has been surfing the Malibu waves for over four decades he knows where to be on any given day. Known for his experience, professionalism, and winning many competitions in both surfing and SUP. This is a five star operation in every aspect, customer service, ocean safety and any other concerns you may have. If you want a wetsuit he has them available, if you ding your board he does repairs.

I purchased a Radfish SUP and I have used it everyday since. It is so much fun it doesn’t feel like a workout, yet I have lost 20 pounds. If you purchased a board and paddle like the one I purchased from Radfish in a store it would be three times as much. I recently upgraded my paddle to a Radfish Carbon Fiber Paddle, and I recommend everyone do the same. If your looking for a Stand Up Paddleboard take a look at Radfish, the best boards at wholesale prices. Tony Radfish makes them himself and sells wholesale directly to the public. Contact him for the best deal, mention that you heard about him from the Secret Blogger and your deal will be so much sweeter.

Memorial Day Story

Happy Memorial Day! A happy day it is, no work, no school, yet many think of this day as the first day of summer (June 21, 2014). As we all know it is not nor is it, Flag Day (June 14th), Veterans Day (November 11th) or a day to spend shopping going from one sale to the next. Memorial Day honors military personnel who died while in service. These men and women are true heroes; they voluntarily sign up to serve in a military where they know from one day to the next they could loose their life. Memorial Day, should be a happy day, most people what to be remembered in a happy way, and want to make others lives happy as they are remembered.

Looking around today one-thing stands out, The American Flag. It could be the “first day of summer” feeling as winter is in the past and it’s time to put up the flag. Or the fact that the American flag plays a big role in Memorial Day, when it represents everything that soldiers have fought for. You will notice today the flag is at half-staff until noon, after that it is raised to full staff. American flags are placed on all the graves at military cemeteries, and 3 p.m. is the traditional time to visit cemeteries. What a great symbol that stands for so many things to so many people. What a great symbol of quality when an American Flag is crisp, clean, well taken care and well made in the USA. The American Flag that you put up on this day or any other day is a reflection of you, people notice details and a flag that is well made in the USA says a lot. Some flags that won’t make it through the day, poor quality materials and stitching make it vulnerable to strong wind and can fade with the sun. I noticed my flag is made of sail material, what could withstand more than the material sailboats trust in the middle of the ocean. The label said Annin, what I soon found out was this company has been in business since 1847, it was started by Alexander Annin who began making US flags for the merchant ships in his sail-making shop on the New York waterfront in the 1820’s. The American flag was less than fifty years old when Alexander Annin began making US flags. It was an Annin flag that flew at the inauguration of President Zachary Taylor, starting an inaugural tradition that has continued through the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Annin supplied all the US flags for the Union troops during the American Civil War. An Annin flag draped the coffin of President Abraham Lincoln on its journey from Washington D.C. to Springfield, Illinois. The U.S. Marines raised an Annin flag atop Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima in 1945. NASA selected an Annin flag to participate in Apollo 11’s mission to the moon in 1969.

There are a lot of American Flags that look good, are well made in other countries or are less expensive. The point is pride, the US flag should be made in the USA with materials that are domestic in origin and that all processes in every step of its manufacture are completed in USA facilities with USA labor.   When you purchase an American flag make sure it is from Annin or another US manufacture that is “Certified Made in the USA”.

Happy Memorial Day, Is Your American Flag Made In The USA?
