They are serious about this festive and flavorful dry wine. Quality rose starts with grapes grown specifically for this purpose. At Bernard Griffin used the best roses are a deliberate result of careful winemaking, not an incidental byproduct of red production. Their rose is conceived in the vineyard at pruning and matured to be crisp, lean and fruity.

Spice seems to be the rage these days, so when I was out I asked about Besamim Liqueur. I kept seeing it at bars and stores yet had never tasted it before. Besamim Liqueur is an aromatic spice liqueur. Very vibrant in the aroma, where you think the spice would take over, and as you taste it you realize it is perfectly balanced. After a few drinks, I said this would be great with coffee, and we mixed it over ice with some coffee and a splash of cream that made a great late night cocktail. The fact is I could drink Besamim on it’s own yet as variety is the spice of life, more my cocktails will be created.
Looking at the website I learned Besamim Liqueur is a all natural handcrafted spirit, made from pure cane sugar spirits, hand ground spices, and mountain spring water, it’s 37% alc/vol. They never use industrial alcohol, corn syrup or any artificial sweetners or additives. On the Besamim website I did find a Cocktail Recipe page for some great drink ideas. It has won many Gold Medals, from SIP Awards, Craft Competition, Tastings… I purchased it at Mission Wine & Spirits liquor store that will ship it right to your house.
This wine was a bit lighter than the bold blackberry and plumb taste that is evident, it is light on tannins and has a nice acidity very well balanced with a nice long finish, and I highly recommend it for any night of the week.

Alberta Distillers embraced this challenge and not only made rye whisky, they made a great one. Alberta Distillers is the number one rye producer in North America with more than 450,000 barrels aging on site, this is not a new brand they have been making whisky for almost seventy years.
The master distillers at Alberta Distillers wanted to continue to push the rye envelope and come up with not just another rye whisky, but a better rye whisky, Alberta Rye Dark Batch is the result. Highly recommended and winner of many awards, Craft Competition Gold 2015, SIP Awards Gold 2015, Los Angeles Spirits Competition Gold 2015, The World Whisky Masters Master 2015…

My new favorite gin, super smooth, Bummer & Lazarus Gin! Master distiller Carter Raff created his own stills for his proprietary San Francisco distillery situated on Treasure Island. Raff has 24 years of winemaking and 14 years of distilling, now the creator of Bummer & Lazarus Gin. It is a 92-proof, gin that uses 100 percent California grapes at its base. The gin was named after two fabled canine celebrities from San Francisco’s historical past (when Lazarus died, 30,000 attended the funeral, when Bummer died, Mark Twain wrote the eulogy). The gin boasts a well-balanced flavorful profile with hints of citrus and floral notes as well as a long spicy finish. This award winning gin has won a Gold Medal at the 2013 Craft Spirits Competition and named one of the top 50 spirits by Drink Me Magazine. It makes a great gin and tonic yet I tend to drink more of it on the rocks with a lemon twist, either way I am sure you will enjoy it, cheers!
